You Asked, We Answered.
What's included in the Muse Test Kit + 16 Week Treatment
You will receive a test kit, your lab results, an interpretation of your lab results, and a 1:1 consultation with our functional practitioner.
Our specialists take a comprehensive approach to assess your hormonal health by combining your hormonal panel with your symptoms and lifestyle.
We benchmark your lab results against Optimal, Normal and Out of Range.
We leverage your assessment in order to provide personalized protocol including supplements, nutrition and lifestyle changes delivered during your monthly session with our functional practitioner. Your protocol is adjusted every month based on your needs and the evolution of your symptoms.
What does the Muse Kit test for?
We offer personalized kit, we currently have three hormonal panels depending on your profil.
For women not on hormonal birth control and with regular cycles, we test:
- Feminine hormones (Estrogen, Progesterone)
- Androgen hormones (DHEA, Testosterone)
- 4 point Cortisol
- Thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4, Anti-TPO)
For women not on hormonal birth control and with an irregular cycle, we test:
- Feminine hormones (LH, FSH, Estrogen, Progesterone)
- Androgen hormones (DHEA, Testosterone)
- Thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4)
- Glycemic panel (Homa-IR, Insulin, Glucose)
- Vitamin panel (Vitamin D, Ferritin)
For women on hormonal birth control*, we test:
- Cortisol
- Thyroid (TSH, free T3, free T4)
- Vitamin panel (Ferritin, Vitamin D, Vitamin B9, Vitamin B12)
- Cholesterol (total, HDL, LDL)
- Inflammation marker (usCRP)
- Glycemic panel (Homa-IR, Insulin, Glucose)
*Hormonal birth control contains synthetic hormones that suppress the body's natural hormone cycle, reducing the production of hormones like estrogen and progesterone and thus requiring different set of inputs.
How is the test done?
The test will be a blood prick. Our laboratories are CLIA certified.
When should you collect your sample?
This depends on whether you are on birth control, and whether you have irregular periods.
If you are on birth control, you can take the test at your earliest convenience.
If you are not on birth control, you should take the test on the 21st day of your cycle (which we will remind you about).
If you have irregular cycles, the 3rd day of your cycle is the most reliable.
All the tests should be done in the morning, before you've had anything to eat or drink
How does the treatment plan work?
Our protocols are designed by functional practitioners and incorporates evidence-based supplements, lifestyle changes, and nutrition.
Each month, you'll have a check-in with a functional practitioner to review your progress.
Treatments are dynamic and adjusted monthly based on how you feel and how your symptoms evolve.
While supplements are not included, we recommend high-quality brands that are additive-free and highly bioavailable. Prescriptions are sent via Fullscript, making it easy to order your supplements with just one click.
How the consultations work
Meet with your functional practitioner monthly for a 15 to 30 minute consultation. During the session, your practitioner will review and explain your results, provide a detailed explanation of your personalized protocol, and collect symptom updates to adjust your treatment plan.
What to expect at the end of your treatment plan?
You’ll typically see improvement in your symptoms within one month, though it may take longer for some. We recommend following the protocol for at least six months to achieve lasting results. Retesting your hormones is also recommended to monitor progress and refine your treatment.
What's the timeline to getting my results?
You can expect to receive your test kit within 3-5 days after placing the order.
Once you ship out your kit, you can expect your hormonal assessment within 15 business days. We will be in touch to then set up the 1/1 consultation to review your assessment.
